Jim Bryant is a designer, illustrator, and printmaker from Murray Kentucky. Born in Indianapolis, raised in Alabama and Florida, Jim received his BFA from the Herron School of Art and his MFA from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. 

Prior to entering a career in education Jim worked as a graphic designer and Art Director for five years, working as an editorial illustrator at the Indianapolis Star and designing for clients including Nike, Reebok, RCA, The U.S. Olympic teams, The PGA Championship, The Eiteljorg Museum, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and he won an Addy Award for his work with the Indianapolis Zoo. Recent clients include The United Nations, the Toy Museum of New York, Lipscomb University, and Experience Green.

Mr. Bryant’s artwork is exhibited internationally, recent exhibits include a solo exhibition at the Beijing University for Aeronautics and Astronautics in China, and group exhibits at the Center for the Book Arts in New York, DBAC Gallery at Ohio University, and the Louden House in Louisville. His work is held in many permanent collections including the Spencer Museum of Art in Lawrence Kansas and the Paul and Lulu Hilliard University Art Museum in Lafayette Louisiana.

Jim Bryant is Professor of Art and Design at Murray State University and lives in Almo, Kentucky with his family.
